All students have access to and participate in a wide range of workforce development activities, from career assessments and goal setting to hands-on skill-building and training. Students are encouraged to explore their strengths and interests while setting tangible goals for the future—whether that’s entering college, stepping directly into a career, or discovering new opportunities they hadn’t considered.
Tiers of Service to our Students
From the start, students are introduced to a comprehensive set of foundational services designed to guide them toward success. Beginning at orientation, each student participates in a personalized intake and meets our WIOA partners, who provide ongoing support and access to valuable resources. Over time, students build essential professional skills and participate in Workforce Development Activities (WDAs), which include:
Universal Services
Foundational support provided to all students, including a staff-assisted orientation, workforce readiness curriculum, and a variety of workforce development activities to build essential career readiness skills.
Targeted Services
Additional career-focused resources for eligible students, offering hands-on job search assistance, labor market research, and access to an Individual Training Account (ITA) for post-secondary and job training opportunities.
Intensive Services
Comprehensive, personalized support provided through a dedicated WIOA case manager to help students overcome barriers to success, including mentorship, counseling, supportive services, paid internship opportunities, and assistance in achieving industry-recognized job credentials.
